Symphony’s Community Day on Saturday includes an opportunity to try some instruments

From 11 a.m. to noon it’s the Musical Instrument Zoo where youngsters can try out a variety of instruments like cello, flute, trumpet, tuba, bassoon, oboe, French horn, bass and percussion. From 11:45 to 12:15 p.m. it’s time to meet cellist and Noteworthy Kids artistic co-ordinator Joel Strobbe and talk about upcoming activities for kids. He will also introduce a surprise musician.

From 12:30 to 1:30 is the open rehearsal. Everyone is invited to take in a rehearsal directed by the popular Pierre Simard. Reserve for your free ticket for this event by calling 250-754-8550. Donations to the Noteworthy Kid Music Club are welcomed.
