The Pacific Mennonite Children’s Choir and the Valley Festival Singers host an evening of Christmas music for all ages on Monday, Dec. 10.
The concert takes place at 7 p.m at South Abbotsford Church, 32424 Huntingdon Rd.
Songs at the Stable will include seasonal favourites as well as some inspirational songs to get everyone in the holiday spirit. There will also be a couple of opportunities for the audience to sing along.
Both choirs have been performing in the Fraser Valley for over 40 years.
The children’s choir is composed of young singers between the ages of eight and 17, while the adult choir features the voices of seasoned performers, many with professional careers in music.
For this special event, the choirs will be joined by cellist Ben Goheen.
He is a graduate of the UBC School of Music and is an active chamber musician, educator and conductor
Goheen has also performed with professional symphonies across the province, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra.
