Engaging conference offers insider perspectives on pursuing film, media careers

Trinity Western University’s School of the Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC) presents a pair of engaging colloquium talks  (academic seminars) in January and February.

Join Media + Communication students on the TWU campus for intimate discussions with film industry professionals.

High school students in particular are invited to take advantage of these insider perspectives on pursuing a career in film and media.

“Living the Reality of the Creative” with Deb Sears, voice-over artist

How an actor and voice-over artist balances the creative part of her work with the day-to-day realities of a film career.

• Wednesday, Feb. 4

“Living the Good Life” with Jamie Rauch, film industry Life Coach

Sage advice on landing a job in film, courtesy of a professional on the front lines. Explore the challenges and opportunities of this specialized industry.

Both talks will be given from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on their respective dates in the Robert N. Thompson Building (Room 125)

Admission is free and open to the public.
