The Langley Ukulele Ensemble’s performance will also serve as a launch party for their Canada 150 album, which features all Canadian artists.

“From BTO, to the Guess Who, and even the Tragically Hip, the ensemble has created an album that is both unique to its sound by featuring and highlighting the ukulele and the ensembles members,” said director Paul Luongo.

“The concert, being in conjunction with the Township of Langley Canada 150 fall concert series, will also feature former members of the ensemble, artists Nicholas Varelas and Brett Dick, as well as the Langley ukulele ensemble.

“The audience can expect an entertaining, exciting, and beautiful evening with excellent music and a celebratory atmosphere to celebrate our amazing country.”

The series continues on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. with The Beauty Shop Dolls, a vintage vocal trio who will present music from the 1920s, ’30s, and ’40s. The concert is free, but registration is required. Register at recexpress.tol.ca and use course barcode 535644.
