Valley Christian School presents Great Big Story

Annual production on Dec. 13 features many Abbotsford students

Valley Christian School presents its Christmas program Great Big Story at the Clarke Theatre in Mission on Thursday, Dec 13 at 7 p.m.

Many of the students make the trip from Abbotsford to Mission to attend the school, and they’ve been putting in extra time on the road these past months.

The producton involves students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

The show includes performances by the entire student body as well as smaller grade groups, including some special performances from duet and trio singers and dancers.

The featured flag dance piece was choreographed by the students themselves and will lead to a colourful climactic finale.

Great Big Story includes a surprise during an entertaining re-enactment of the Christmas story during the song Great News.

The show is free to attend, and guests are invited to join the performers for a coffee-and-sweets reception following the show.

“The many hours of work that go into our Christmas program is all worth it when we see our students shining on stage with their many talents and abilities,” said musical director Julie Loeppky.

“But our real goal is that the true light of Christmas shines the brightest of all.”

The Clarke Theatre is located at 33700 Prentis Ave. in Mission.
