After a successful coffeehouse before Christmas that saw a capacity crowd, the Vernon Kalamalka Choir is hosting an open rehearsal and guest night for women who love to sing.
“We are a group of women that love to sing from the North Okanagan and all walks of life,” said Marjorie Passmore, with the chorus. “Our chorus is part of Sweet Adelines International, an amazing group of women all over the world, singing real harmony and having great fun.”
The chorus sings in a cappella, four-part harmony, barbershop style. Those in attendance will discover how their voice fits in with the harmony.
“You may be pleasantly surprised,” said Passmore.
The evening of music and refreshments takes place Wednesday, Jan. 28 at the chorus’ rehearsal venue, the Halina Centre in the Vernon Recreation Complex at 7:30 p.m.
