Abbotsford recording artist Victoria Duffield has been named as the entertainer who will perform a special concert at a location selected as Canada’s most fun place to visit.

CBC TV’s Cross Country Fun Hunt is inviting kids 16 years old and younger to submit their local fun spots online at cbc.ca/kids/funhunt from now until December.

Fans will then vote on the top 20 destinations, and the winning spot will earn one child – and their community – the special concert by Duffield. The event will air on CBC in March.

“I can’t wait to see what all the people vote for as the most fun … Who knows, maybe it will be close to where I live,” Duffield said.

Cross Country Fun Hunt is hosted by Jordan Francis and is based on a cross-country road trip. Francis visited communities across Canada and took part in activities suggested by – and, in many cases, voted on – by kids.

He also recorded a song for each episode and will perform the soundtrack at the finale concert with Duffield.

She released her debut album Shut Up and Dance this summer.
