VIDEO: Costumed kids hit the streets in search of treats

Halloween in Langley included busy sidewalks, indoor treats, and candy from car trunks

In the crisp autumn air, ghosts, ghouls, witches, wizards, and original creatures from wild imaginations walked the streets of Langley Thursday night.

Well, more truthfully in 2019, there were some Walking Dead characters, Avengers, Stranger Things kids, Paw Patrol team members, and even a Trump… to name a few.

Yes, trick-or-treaters ventured up and down neighborhood streets once again for the annual fall festivity on Oct. 31, searching for treats, spooky displays, games, and, well, probably mostly treats.

With not a rain cloud in the sky, conditions were perfect for costumed kidlets – and yes, even a few teens – too fill their candy bags.

Willowbrook Shopping Centre provided indoor activities from 5 to 6 p.m., welcoming candy-seekers to come wander from store to store in search of a snack in a bit of a warmer setting.

Hosted by Town and Field Church, Trunk or Treat saw dozens of decked out cars parked in front of the Al Anderson Memorial Pool where kids good collect their ghost-night-goods safely from the back of participants themed vehicles.

An array of haunted houses, ranging from Harry Potter themed to even space-oriented with Star Wars space ships lining their yard, activities certainly were not scare in Langley on All Hallows’ Eve.
