Local country rockers Me and Mae are getting into the holiday spirit with a fundraising show at Gabby’s Country Cabaret.
Happening Sunday, Dec. 10, the event features special guests Ould & Co., Hillside Outlaws and Whiskey May, and partial proceeds will go to Ann Davis Transition Society and Blanket BC Society.
The band is also releasing its new single, To Hell With the Devil, which features a playful back-and-forth between male vocalist Shawn Meehan and female vocalist Caitlin Canning. The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music and other digital retailers as of Monday (Dec. 4).

Me and Mae offer a four-part harmony sound that has been compared to Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town and The Eagles. The group won the Ray McAuley Horizon Award at the British Columbia Country Music Association Awards in 2014 and were nominated for ‘Group/Duo of the Year’ in 2016 and 2017.
They released their debut album Off The Rails (Cordova Bay Records) in 2014, did a Nashville tour, and were featured at music festivals Sunfest, Rockin River Country Fest, Big Valley Jamboree and Craven Country Jamboree (now Country Thunder).
