With everything from classic rock to hip hop, you'll want to save in June 28, 29 and 30

A new style Laketown Shakedown festival is coming to Laketown Ranch on the Canada Day long weekend.

If you love live music in the great outdoors, save June 28, 29 and 30 in your calendars.

Laketown Shakedown has announced its plans for a revised and refreshed three-day festival taking place up at the Ranch in Lake Cowichan.

Blending Laketown Rock and the summer concert series held at the Ranch in the past, the new Laketown Shakedown will feature music from multiple genres so all generations of music lovers can share this festival experience.

The full lineup of artists will be announced Wednesday, March 27 and will include international and local acts ranging from classic rock to hip-hop and additional high energy performers.

Camping, weekend passes, and single day tickets will once again be available and will go on sale on March 29, following the lineup announcement.

Following the outstanding success of previous events, Laketown Ranch is solidifying its place as the ultimate vacation destination in the Cowichan Valley. It has the largest permanent outdoor stage in Canada on a 172-acre site only minutes from Cowichan Lake.

Laketown Shakedown will include live music across three stages, plus a festival village with food and other vendors, multiple full-service bars, a VIP area, flush toilets, and showers.

“This year’s event is guaranteed to have something for everyone,” says Greg Adams, founder of Laketown Ranch. “With musical tastes being so diverse today, we are excited to bring a festival event to the Valley that allows all generations to share their favourite music together. Save the date.”
