The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s popular Surrey Nights Series gets under way this year on Oct. 28 at the Bell Performing Arts Centre
Music by Haydn, Mozart and Poulenc will be on the programme. Soloists will be VSO principal trumpet Larry Knopp in a Haydn Trumpet Concerto, and Leslie Ann Bradley, soprano, who will be the soloist in Poulenc’s dazzling “Gloria.” She will be on stage with a rare visit to Surrey by the 150-voice Vancouver Bach Choir (directed by Leslie Dala).
The concert will be led by British conductor Simon Wright, who is a renowned choral specialist.
