Excitement is building at the Campbell River Art Gallery as preparations continue for the Second Annual Wearable Art Fashion Show.
Be amazed at art created for the human body at the Wearable Art Fashion Show, set for Saturday, July 23 (not July 26 as previously reported) at 7 p.m. at the Gallery. Wearable art is a huge cultural trend in recent years, and the Gallery has had a great response from artists in the local area, and from further afield, who have created pieces for the upcoming show.
Campbell River Art Gallery Executive Director Jeanette Taylor said the first show last year was a success, and this year will be even better.
“We held our first test run of a wearable art show last summer and the response was incredible,” Taylor said.
At the Wearable Art Show, sponsored by Walcan Seafood, art pieces are presented with music in the Main Gallery, with dancers and models in wearable art moving along a meandering cabaret-style walkway through the audience. Your $30 ticket for the Wearable Art Fashion Show includes hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar.
Tickets are available at the Campbell River Art Gallery Gift Shop.
