Kitimat reverberated with the sounds of engines powering their way up Haisla Blvd. during the Dave Saunders Memorial Hillclimb held this weekend.

This year the event fielded 59 entries from Kitimat and Terrace, with a capacity crowd that lined the bank along Haisla Blvd., young and old, intent on getting close to the ear-splitting roar of the muscle cars, motorbikes and sleds.

This year’s event saw Wade Barnett coming close to achieving a perfect light of 500 with his 515.

The addition of the food trailers was very popular with the crowds this year and the rain held off for the whole event.
