Creative Jam all weekend long
Starting Friday night, residents are getting their creativity on with workshops for knitters, photographers, painters, comedy, skit writing and more.
Registration started in February to sign up for one workshop, and to dabble in other workshops.
The event is organized by the Prince Rupert Community Arts Council and takes place at the Lester Centre for the Arts.

Year-End Skating Show
The Prince Rupert Skating Club is putting on its year-end show on Saturday, called Canada turns 150 Ice Gala.
The show will showcase Prince Rupert’s young skaters, skating to songs by Canadian artists.
Door open at 6:30 p.m. and showtime is at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for youth and adults, $5 for children and free for kids under 3.
Tickets can be purchased at Oceanside Sports or at the door.
Curling Bonspiel
The curling season will soon come to an end, but not before the 66th Men’s Marine Bonspiel this weekend, complete with the slogan “Come throw some rocks at our houses.”
The tournament will take place from Friday to Sunday. Highlights of the weekend include four events, a seafood dinner on Friday night, a dinner on Saturday night, many other prizes and featuring Wheelhouse Gillnetter on tap.
