Kaien Island Craft Fair
Starting Friday at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. the knitters, crafters and artists from the city unpack their wares for the annual craft fair. Browse the local talent or pick up one, two or more unique Christmas gifts.
The fair continues on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

The duo return to CARGO Kitchen & Bar for another round of soulful singing and strumming.
Music starts at 8 p.m. and continues to 11 p.m. No cover charge.
As the Port Churns
The first episode of the soap opera improv series will be performed on the Tom Rooney Playhouse stage Saturday night at 8 p.m.
The plot involves a beer pipeline and characters will portray quirky local stereotypes.

Rampage face off against River Kings
Cheer on the home team when the puck drops at 7 p.m. on Saturday night at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
The River Kings will be hungry for a win after a 5-4 overtime loss against Williams Lake on Nov. 11, and their lone win this season was on Oct. 15 against the Rampage.
Loonie Auction for Austin Chamberlain
A bake sale and Loonie auction is being held to support the family of a 17-year-old boy with terminal cancer. Austin Chamberlain must remain at the B.C. Children’s Hospital in Vancouver and the fundraiser is to support his mother and sister to spend time with him.
The event is on Nov. 20 from 1-3 p.m. at the Nisga’a Hall.
Free Swim for Children
Kids get to swim — for free — for 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre courtesy Success By 6, Early Childhood Educators of B.C. and Prince Rupert Early Years for Universal Children’s Days.
BMO Skate by donation for the Food Bank
All ages are welcome to skate from 4-5:15 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 20 at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre. The Bank of Montreal is putting on the skate for Days of Caring program. To skate bring in a non-perishable food item. There will be a free skate rental for those without skates. For more information see our story on the event.
