• April 6 – May 20 – The current Parkside exhibit will run until May 20. The exhibit is called Spring into Spring and the gallery is filled with local crafts, art, jewelry, weaving, baskets, pots, textiles, woodwork and more. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
• 6, 7, 8 – Steel Magnolias, directed by Nicole Weir will be on at Martin Exeter Hall. Shows start at at 7 p.m. with a matinee at 1 p.m. on April 8. Tickets are $15.
• April 6 – May 2 – The new Showcase Gallery features Sheryl Fremlin. Her work was put up on April 4 and features an array of watercolour artwork featuring horses.
• April 8 – The King Crab and Prime Rib Buffet & Auction will be held starting at 5 p.m. at the 100 Mile Community Hall. Proceeds will go to the Shriner Child Services Society and the Shriners in the Community Fund. Tickets are $75.
• April 9 – There will be a Mountain Fever Bluegrass All Stars Concert at Martin Exeter Hall at 7 p.m. in 100 Mile House. Tickets are $20 in presale or $25 at the door. Call 250-791-9249 or visit www.mountainfeverbluegrasscamp.ca.
• April 13 – The grad fashion show at Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School will be at 7 p.m. The theme is 90’s babies. Tickets are $10. There will be raffle baskets and a 50/50 draw as well.
• April 18 – 29 – Annual Festival of the Arts at the Martin Exeter Hall. Programs are now available at www.100milefestivalofthearts.ca. For information Ginny-Lou at 250-395-3555. The festival runs until the April 29 when it ends with the Showcase Concert. The festival features vocal performances, speech and dramatic arts, instrumental and piano performances scheduled throughout the event.
• April 21 – The South Cariboo Chapter of Canadian Parents for French is showing La guerre de tuques (Snowtime!) starting at 5 p.m. The event is free to attend.
