• July 22 – The Cariboo Artists Guild Fine Art Show & Sale, “The Future,” at Parkside Art Gallery opens with a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Show runs until Sept. 12.
• July 24 – The 100 Mile & District Outriders Club is holding a gymkhana at the Outriders arena behind the South Cariboo Rec. Centre, starting at 10 a.m.
• July 31 – Sulphurous Lake & District Volunteer Fire Fighters Association fishing derby goes from dawn until 3 p.m., with weigh-in stations at McGregor’s Warf on Sulphurous Lake and at Moosehaven Resort on Hathaway Lake. Entry fee is $3. Watch for signage.
• July 30-31 – 21st Interlakes BCRA Rodeo at the Interlakes Rodeo Grounds. Main events start both days at 1 p.m., with Sunday’s slack events beginning at 9 a.m. Interlakes Lions Club pancake breakfast both days at 8 a.m.
• Aug. 6 – The South Cariboo Idols are performing at the Iron Horse Pub from 8 to 10 p.m.
• Aug. 12-14 – Jake’s Pub is sponsoring a men’s fastball tournament along with a women’s ball tournament at Lumberman’s Park in 100 Mile House.
• Aug. 13 – The Watch Lake/Green Lake Gymkhana takes place on North Green Lake, with events starting at noon. There will be games on horseback, concession and refreshment garden. Entries accepted until noon.
• Aug. 19-21 – Canim Lake Pow Wow takes place at the Canim Lake Reserve Arbor, opening Friday evening at 7 p.m. with a grand entry. Saturday’s event goes from 1 to 10 p.m., with a dinner break from 5 to 7 p.m. On Sunday, dancing goes from noon to 5 p.m. Concession and vendors on site.
• Aug. 21 – 100 Mile & District Outriders Club wraps up its gymkhana series at the Outriders grounds in 100 Mile House. Races start at 10 a.m.
