• April 14 – May 20 – The current Parkside exhibit will run until May 20. The exhibit is called Spring into Spring and the gallery is filled with local crafts, art, jewelry, weaving, baskets, pots, textiles, woodwork and more. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
• April 14 – May 2 – The new Showcase Gallery features Sheryl Fremlin. Her work was put up on April 4 and features an array of watercolour artwork centred around horses.
• April 16 – Jack Glatzer, a world-renowned violinist, will be providing an informal, interactive concert at the 100 Mile United Church at 2:30 p.m. His new program focuses on aboriginal culture. Admission is by donation to Fishes and Loaves.
• April 18 – 29 – Annual Festival of the Arts at the Martin Exeter Hall. Programs are now available at www.100milefestivalofthearts.ca. For information Ginny-Lou at 250-395-3555. The festival runs until the April 29 when it ends with the Showcase Concert. The festival features vocal performances, speech and dramatic arts, instrumental and piano performances scheduled throughout the event.
• April 21 – The Solid Rock Café will be holding a coffee house at the Rock Youth Centre at 4930 Telqua Drive at 108 Ranch. Free admission, goodies by donation. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with music starting at 7 p.m. Come early for a seat.
• April 24 – Bill Bourne will be playing as part of his Hummingbird Tour at the Parkside Art Gallery. Tickets are $15 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
