The 37th annual Winter Arts & Crafts Fair held by the 100 Mile & District Arts Council will be a great three-day holiday shopping event, Nov. 28-30.
This offering of artwork and craft items will be held at the 100 Mile Community Hall, with many returning vendors.
Spokesperson Gordon Hoglund says the event is the arts council’s major fundraiser and has been growing in popularity.
It has something for the whole family, with four or five live entertainment shows and photos with Santa Claus, he notes.
“We’d like to see the community come together at the winter fair and check out the crafts and artwork produced by local, and some out-of-town artists and artisans.”
The fair will offer holiday shoppers a host of gift items from glass art and paintings to wood work and quilting, and from chocolates and clothing to fibre art and fabric crafts.
For more enjoyment, dancers and musicians will also be showcasing their talents.
At 8 p.m. on Nov. 28, Baladi Babes will belly-dance their way into the hearts of shoppers at the fair, and on Nov. 29, musicians Jason Ruscheinsky and Leslie Ross will perform at 11 a.m. Then on Nov. 30, Cheralyn Polynesian Dancers will delight fair-goers at 1 p.m., followed by local bluegrass band Front Porch at 3 p.m.
The $2 admission also enters folks into hourly door prize draws.
Hours are 4-9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
