The Winter Harp ensemble will be coming to the ACT in what has become a holiday tradition in Maple Ridge.
The ensemble will perform a collection of songs from Celtic, medieval, world and Spanish music and familiar carols interspersed with cheerful stories to warm your heart.
The musicians will be dressed in medieval attire against backdrops of snow and a cathedral.
They will be playing Celtic and classical harps, drums, tambourines, temple bells, flutes and an assortment of ancient and rare instruments including a bass psaltery, the organistrum and a Swedish nyckelharpa.
Artists include Kim Robertson on Celtic harp and vocals, Janelle Nadeau on pedal harp and vocals, Roger Helfrick on harp, guitar and vocals, Lauri Lyster on percussion, Jeff Pelletier on flute, bass flute and wooden piccolo, Joaquin Ayala on nyckelharpas, bass psaltery, organistrum and symfonie and Lori Pappajohn, the Winter Harp director.
