Since emerging on the music scene in 2000, Isabel Bayrakdarian has sung in opera houses and concert halls all over the world.
Her voice has been featured on the Grammy award-winning soundtrack of Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and on the acclaimed Canadian film Ararat.
On Friday Nov. 18, she will perform at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium in a concert presented by the Valley Concert Society.
Accompanied by her pianist and composer husband Serouj Kradjian, the two performers deliver a program that is emotional and diverse.
Kradjian has performed across North America, from Carnegie Hall to Los Angeles, as well as throughout Europe and the far East.
The show may include songs from Bayrakdarian’s previous albums Gomidas Songs, Tango Notturno, and Delirium.
The performance is one of 11 concerts within B.C., during a Western Canada recital tour.
