A special tribute act comes along once in a blue moon.

From Heartbreak Hotel, Don’t Be Cruel and Hound Dog to Love Me Tender and Blue Suede Shoes, everyone loves Elvis.

Following an unprecedented 11 years in the American Superstars show at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino on the Vegas strip, the “World’s No. 1 Elvis” arrives in Maple Ridge next week.

During his youth, Lee discovered the music of Elvis Presley. Hound Dog was the first song that turned his ear.

Probably known best this side of the border for being the first Elvis tribute to completely re-create Presley’s 1968 comeback special at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth and Burnaby’s Michael. J Fox theatres, Lee not only has an uncanny resemblance to Elvis, he has the spot-on moves and vocals that made him a star in Vegas.

After his decade-long starring role at the Stratosphere, Lee, who was born in Edmonton and lived in Pitt Meadows, has returned to his Canadian roots and says he looking forward to the next phase of his professional career.

He is currently performing around the country, and plans to take his tribute to the King worldwide, and more importantly, he is a new father to twin girls.

Lee’s record run in Vegas started when he won the World Elvis Contest in Memphis, Tenn. on the 20th anniversary of Presley’s death, Aug. 16, 1997.

He soon joined the cast of the Vegas ensemble show, which has seen many line-up changes over the years. Lee’s Elvis segment was a constant through the years, bringing fans to their feet nightly with his powerful tribute to the King.
