Young choir performing April 5

This term, the Comox Valley Children's Choir is green and growing, celebrating the spring with songs of new growth.

This term, the Comox Valley Children’s Choir is green and growing, celebrating the spring with songs of new growth.

With music that pays homage to the beauty of the

natural world, touches our ecological sensibilities and hints humorously at the ‘dark side’ of the planted world, these young singers have already delighted appreciative audiences at Casa Loma Seniors Village and the Comox Valley Celtic Club.

The Comox Valley Children’s Choir rehearses weekly from September to April and welcomes young singers to explore the most personal of musical instruments — the voice.

Rehearsals are active, challenging, and offer a diverse approach to learning choral music.

More information is available on the choir website at

www.cvcchoir.shawwebspace.ca.

A final concert will take place Saturday, April 9 at 2 p.m. in the theatre at Mark Isfeld Secondary School in Courtenay.

The admission cost is $5.
