In loving memory ~
It has been one year since Dan left us due to a tragic short illness. Dan had so much love for his family and never tired of giving of himself endlessly to them. If you knew Dan you would know that he was quick-witted, with a wealth of information about many topics.
He loved wood working, driving fast, and adored his dog, Wilson. He had his own sense of humour and would do many things for a laugh.
He loved to keep his children on their toes, and they would often find their toys set up and perched in random places.
With his older children he would tirelessly work on fixing their cars. He was there for them whenever they needed him, and he continually encouraged them to be the best version of themselves. Dan gave his all to his partner.
His love and loyalty to her was so true and obvious to those who knew them. Dan was always quick to help his parents whenever they needed it, and quick to throw a lighthearted jab to his dad. Dan prided himself on being like his mom, giving more than 51% of themselves to others. Dan had previous lost his older and younger brother, so he made the most of his time with his sister when they could be together. Dan had so many plans, building a log home and raising alpacas, being some of them. Dan’s purpose in life was for his soul to be with God. Dan never lost that focus throughout his illness. Dan was continually working on improving himself with that goal driving him.
It is so heartbreaking to us all that we lost Dan from our lives. It was something that we never expected and have spent the last year learning to live without our partner/daddy/dad/son/brother in our lives. Our lives were shattered in losing Dan, so we are thankful to have so many amazing memories, many laughs, and the love we shared with him, held close our hearts.
You will always be in our hearts.
Love Sharina, Nick, Cody, Autumn, Brynn, Mom (Janice), Dad (Doug), and Alanna
