In loving memory ~
Mom was born in Kelowna, B.C., and moved with her family to Victoria, B.C. The eldest of six children of Cliff and Midge Bouch.
Mom was a seamstress at British Importers in Victoria, B.C. Eventually settling in Cobble Hill, B.C., with her loving husband Ray Andre. Elka was a loving mother of two children and 5 stepchildren.
She was a self-taught artist and painted many paintings, one of which is a mural at the Duncan Theater, a beautiful rendition of the Duncan train station.
Mom had a passion for all animals her beloved poodles, all dogs, birds, squirrels and especially ducks.
Mom was a dedicated member of TOPS and enjoyed Tai Chi. She loved to go fishing on our many family moose hunts in Northern B.C.
We would like to give a Special thank you to her amazing neighbours Bill and Helen Russell. Her niece Sonya Smith Podgorenko whom mom regarded as her special angel as well as Jane Sheppard for all her care and support and the wonderful lavender foot massages.
We will never forget you Mom and truly believe you are now wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus.
When I look to the skies, I see the light in your eyes
and the memories we will have foreverObituary-
