For the second year in a row, the Pacificaires Color Guard dance group has won a gold medal at the Winter Guard International Championships in Dayton, Ohio.
After winning gold in the Independent A division last year, the group was promoted to the Open class division and again beat competition from more than 35 class competitors from the United States and Canada.
The 12 girls delivered a 96.85 score in the final round – and a standing ovation.
This is also the first time in the history of the event that a Canadian team has won back-to-back gold medals.
