Grad season is fast approaching, and that means time for the annual fashion show at Charles Bloom secondary school.
Taking place Feb. 5, grads and parents are working hard to bring another evening of fashion and fun to Lumby, as they raise funds for this year’s graduation of Grade 12 students.
Grads will take to the cat-walk dressed in haute-couture from Lumby fashion and clothing retailers Fields, Gypsy Wagon and Super A; and Vernon’s, The Bay, Cowboy’s Choice, Diana’s Work & Play, Milano Clothing Company, Surplus Herby’s, Suzy Shier, Target, Value Village, Victoria Lane and West 49.
The audience will enjoy all the glamour of a red carpet event, complete with a bake sale and prizes.
Door prizes include a handcrafted silver necklace, bracelet and earrings set valued at $240, and a beaded set valued at $85, both from CherryBee Boutique.
There will also be gift baskets filled with prizes — businesses or residents that would like to contribute a prize are invited to contact a grad or the school. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Tickets are on sale now for $7, and can be purchased from a grad or at the school. Tickets will be $8 at the door, if still available. Doors will open on the night at 6 p.m.; the show will start at 6:30 p.m.
The Bloom Grads’ 2015 Red Carpet Fashion Show takes place Feb. 5, at Charles Bloom secondary school, 1894 Glencaird St., in Lumby. For more information, please contact the school at 250-547-2191.
