Fraser Valley Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) was honoured to have Jim Cessford, chief constable of the Delta Police Department (DPD) as their guest speaker at their recent Networking and Education Meeting at the Guildford Golf and Country Club.
“It is my belief that quality policing rests on four pillars in order to achieve and sustain success,” said Cessford. “These four pillars, public trust, public confidence, professionalism and public safety must be the cornerstone on which we build if we are to provide quality policing. If we allow any of these pillars to erode, we compromise our ability to provide effective policing to the community we serve.”
Cessford reviewed DPD’s vision, mission and their core values. He stressed that all members of his department are diligently working towards higher standards.
IAAP is a non-profit association for office professionals with about 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide.
