Brian Wattie and Chris Stavast are separate candidates but have one major accomplishment together.
They created wind power from an ordinary fan to lift 100 pounds, three feet in the air in 10 minutes.
Their invention drew on the combined skills of the two grads and both are proud of their accomplishment.
“The machine was successful to 150 pounds,” Stavast said.
Wattie added the machine is also eco-friendly.
“All the resources came from the Quesnel landfill,” he said.
Stavast’s static display also included his skills in woodworking, sports, including soccer and track and field and finally engineering.
Wattie’s static display focused on sports, drafting and design, digital video and, of course, engineering.
The successful candidates will be announced during graduation ceremonies.
