The Mission Festival of Trees opened on Dec. 6 and runs until Dec. 10 at All Saints Anglican Church Hall, located on the corner of Second Avenue and James Street.
The popular event concludes tomorrow (Dec. 10) night with a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol.
The reading is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The classic tale is about Ebeneezer Scrooge, a squeezing, wrenching, grasping, clutching, covetous old sinner.
Christmas Carol is the story of how Scrooge is transformed into a kind, generous gentleman by the visitations of the Ghost of his long dead partner Jacob Marley, followed by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet To Come.
Get into the Christmas spirit by joining in the carol sing-along.
This event will be set in a coffee-house style and will include tea, coffee and light refreshments. Admission is at the door by a donation to the Mission Christmas Bureau of cash or a non-perishable food item.
