The Gem and Mineral Federation of Canada has awarded one of their two yearly scholarships to Emma Minato who graduated from Timberline Senior Secondary in June 2016 and is presently attending the University of Victoria.
Gordon Burkholder, Past President and currently newsletter editor for the Ripple Rock Gem and Mineral Club in Campbell River presented Minato with her certificate and scholarship cheque. The Campbell River rock club is affiliated with the Gem and Mineral Federation of Canada who offer scholarships to students who have a connection to an affiliated rock club.
