Looking for a fashion show with a difference? The second annual Salvation Army Thrift Store Fashion Show is slated for June 16.
This exclusive shopping event is a chance for the public to see what great finds there are at the Thrift Store and to have a lot of fun at an evening of fashion.
“Shopping at the Thrift Store is not only environmentally conscientious, it supports worthwhile community programs and boy do you look good while you’re doing it,” Salvation Army Lieutenant Laura Van Schaick said.
“And it’s always a great hunt for the perfect look.”
The Fashion Show features more than 20 models, men and women, from one-year-old to seniors. The clothing highlights casual athletic wear to coloured denim to brand name. And why not source out that perfect evening ensemble just in time for all your summer formal events.
However, the fun doesn’t stop with the show, following the show there is also an exclusive shopping opportunity where valid ticket holders can have first dibs on the purchase of modelled outfits, exclusive in-store sales and also enjoy refreshments while you shop.
“All proceeds, including ticket sales and Thrift Store sales support our local community programs,” Laura said.
“People loved our fashion show last year and begged us to make it bigger and better this year and we’re going to deliver.”
Tickets are $5 each and available at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on St. Laurent Avenue. Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 6:30 p.m. and store closes at 8:30 p.m.
