The 11th annual Organic Okanagan Festival is the largest celebration of organic food, farming and products across the country.  Highlighting Canada’s National Organic Week (Sept. 17 to 25), hundreds of individual events showcase the benefits of organic agriculture and its positive impact on the environment.

Organized by Okanagan Greens, the festival is held at Kelowna’s Summerhill Pyramid Winery, on Chute Lake Road in the Upper Mission, South Kelowna.

For the festival, local farmers and producers put together the most comprehensive, approachable and enjoyable green living exposition in the Okanagan Valley. In addition, the Certified Organic Association of BC will be hosting a transition to organic themed panel discussion.

On festival day attendees can enjoy, sample, shop and learn about organic food and wine at Summerhill, in the Certified Organic Farmer’s Market and Green Living Marketplace. As well, enjoy live local music, children’s entertainment and be inspired with Activist Alley too.

Enjoy Summerhill’s entire property with organic wine tasting and tours, dining in the organic bistro, bio dynamic garden tours, organic food court, and more.

The Organic Okanagan Festival is Sunday Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, 4870 Chute Lake Rd.

General admission is $7 at the door. Students, seniors, cyclists and pedestrians just pay $5 at the door. Children under 12 are admitted for free.

Please bring a food donation for the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank.
