The 49th annual Abbotsford International Airshow is touching down in Abbotsford this August.
The family-friendly event has something for everyone to enjoy: spectacular aerobatics, intricate routines, death-defying formations, pyrotechnic work, on-ground displays and autograph booths to meet your favourite performers.
Headlining the show is the F-22 Raptor Demo.
Perennial favourites, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds 9-ship team, will be joined by the Skyhawks parachute team, who will start their show by jumping out of a plane at 20,000 feet.
Warbirds big and small will be joining the show, both in the air and on the ground, including a B-25 Mitchell, Harvards, Mustangs, the F-86 Sabre, the Sea Fury and the 75-year-old Spitfire.
The 2011 airshow takes place August 12, 13 and 14 at the Abbotsford Airport, 30440 Liberator Ave. Events run from 10:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
