Mackie Lake House in Coldstream is hosting Tea with Grace Thursdays.

“Capturing the essence of days gone by, tea is served with fine bone china on the verandah overlooking the serene gardens and lake,” said Christine Kashuba, Mackie Lake House manager.

“The three-course tea will begin with delicate finger sandwiches followed by light fluffy scones accompanied by Devonshire cream and homemade jams, and topped off with a delicate dessert.”

Teas for this event are organic and custom-blended just for Mackie Lake House by the Organic Tea Grannies of Lumby.

“At each tea our little gift shop will be offering for purchase a selection of five custom-blended teas as well as other products such as scone mixes,” said Kashuba.

“The profits from these sales will be shared with a different local non-profit or service group each week.”

Tea will be served at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursdays.

“So far we have had guests from as far away as Ontario and local visitors too and we’re always ready to welcome more,” said Kashuba.

“It’s time for tea and the place to come is Mackie Lake House.”

Reservations must be made by Tuesday night for Tea with Grace on Thursday and you can book your spot online at www.ticketseller.ca/1042.
