This quarter’s Cashless Craft Swap will be held at the Barriere Senior’s Hall, next to Fadear Park, on April 18, from 7-9 p.m.

Organizers say they are holding it there this time because the Barriere Seniors Society are adding several cupboards worth of items to the swap.  By holding the event in their hall, the items will not need to be boxed up and moved around before or after the event.

The items the seniors are contributing to the swap are items left over from some of the different craft groups they used to organize.

The supplies have been languishing in the cupboards and bins, slowly being forgotten, until the members decided they should tidy up a bit.

As there are currently no crafting groups active with the seniors, they decided to give it away.

There is a huge amount of materials of all shapes, styles and descriptions. Also to be found are beads, ribbons, wool, some craft books, and a wide assortment of other interesting bits and pieces.

As usual, no money is involved in the Craft Swap – everything is free for the taking.  If you have items you no longer want, bring them along, but remember – you don’t need to bring something to take something home!
