The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation works across Canada and in the community to help women and children who need hope and a new start.
Saturday’s parking lot sale, including clowns, balloons and a hot dog sale, raises funds to go directly to the Vernon Women’s Transition House.
The Shelter Foundation helped local shelters provide a safe haven and a new beginning for more than 30,000 women and children across Canada last year with donations of more then $1 million. Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charity empowering agents and sales reps to make positive difference at local and national levels.
The largest public foundation in Canada, it is dedicated exclusively to supporting shelters and ending violence against women and children. In partnership with the Canadian Women’s Foundation, Royal LePage provides grants to provincial agencies that help women gain independence and economic self-sufficiency.
The Shelter Foundation is also a major financial contributor to the Fourth R, a high school program for preventing dating violence, substance abuse, and risky sexual practices.
The sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Royal LePage parking lot at 4007-32 St., Vernon. For more information call Nicole Makohoniuk at 250-306-1376.
