BC’s Great Bear Rainforest is one of the last truly wild ecosystems in North America.
Join the Discovery Passage Aquarium Society tomorrow at 7 p.m. at the Maritime Heritage Centre’s Rotary Hall for a talk in their Public Science Speaker Series.
Get some firsthand insights from one of the leading researchers in temperate rainforest ecology, Dr. John Reynolds from Simon Fraser University, who also holds the BC Leadership Chair in Aquatic Conservation.
Over many years, Reynolds and his team have explored, observed and documented how this wilderness is affected by interactions between salmon, bears and wolves, and the conservation implications of these connections between the land and sea.
Prior to the talk, the Aquarium will offer tours of the society’s new Explorer Lab at the Maritime Heritage Centre that offers courses and workshops on marine and coastal topics to schools, families and interest groups.
