Share your Canada 150 stories

Enter contest to win weekly gift cards and a grand prize on July 1.

In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, the City of Surrey is looking for 150 Canadian stories from its residents who are being asked to share what being Canadian means to them.

Stories can include interesting family history, unique experiences, or how residents see Canadian values reflected in the community. Creativity is encouraged.

Entries will be accepted in writing, video, photos or original artwork.

Contest entries can be submitted in the following ways:

• City of Surrey Facebook or Instagram – Mention @thecityofsurrey and include #SurreyCanada150

• Email canada150@surrey.ca

• Mail to City of Surrey, attention Surrey Web Team, 13450 104 Ave., Surrey, B.C.  V3T 1V8

• Drop off at one of two locations: City hall or the Surrey Museum.

Weekly $150 VISA gift cards will be drawn and one grand prize winner will be drawn from all entries to win a VIP “meet and greet” with Hedley at Surrey’s Canada Day celebrations.

“Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation is a significant milestone,” said Surrey Mayor Linda Hepner. “In recognition of this, Surrey has planned a year of activities in celebration our country and our community, as well as initiatives to build a legacy for the future.”
