StrongStart BC is a free, drop in early learning program for children birth to five years old accompanied by a parent or caregiver at various school locations.
Barriere’s StrongStart program is located at Barriere Elementary School, room 105, and runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The program does not operate on non-instructional days.
Qualified early childhood educators lead learning activities, including stories, music, gym and art to help children get ready for success in kindergarten, as well as opportunities to connect with the school so children are comfortable in the school setting.
Complete a registration form at the StrongStart site of your choice. You will only need to complete one registration form for any StrongStart in the district, registration forms can be obtained from a StrongStart facilitator.
Please bring in your child’s birth certificate and care card, the school will make a copy to keep in the file with your registration form.
Strong Start facilities take attendance, therefore each child will be entered into the school BCesis system and assigned a PEN# that will follow them throughout their education in B.C.
Come on in and create a memory with your child.
