Two local women have decided that it is time for a revolution in Golden.

Linda Pecora and Gladys Neumann are challenging anyone who had tried a diet and failed to try out this new program.

The Monavie 90-Day RVLution, which utilizes Monavie products but does not require its participants use them, is a complete weight management program that focuses on blood sugar stabilization, which they say is the key to sustainable, long-term weight management success.

“This has been happening across the United States, and a bit in Canada as well. People are calling it a RVLution,” said Pecora. Individuals have been starting these RVLutions, challenging their communities to get healthy and lose weight.

“We want to help people lose weight by educating them and supporting them with blood sugar balancing, eating five to six balanced meals a day rather than skipping meals and then gorging on meals.”

Both Pecora and Neumann have had success using the program, and are excited to educate the community about how big a difference this program can make in your life, compared to other diets.

“I never understood before why I was exercising, and eating only 1200 calories a day, and I was being so strict. And I would lose some weight, but if I ever ate any more than that I would gain it all back. And I never understood what was wrong. Now, eating every two to three hours, your body is happy, your blood sugar is stabilized, and you don’t gain the weight back.,” said Neumann.

“I’ve had a weight problem for most of my adult life, and this is the only thing that’s ever worked, the first thing that I’ve been successful with on a continual basis.”

They are holding a free information session on Sunday Feb. 5, which will include a power point presentation, product sampling, and the knowledge needed to decide whether this is a program that will work for you.

“At our free info session… basically we’re going to educate people about blood sugar balancing and why skipping meals is not a good idea to lose weight, and help them manage and support their weight loss program,” said Pecora.

“We’re trying to encourage as many people as possible to come out to get the information to make a decision as to whether this is a program they might be interested in.”

The session is from 1 to 2 p.m. at 1310 Pine Drive.

And anyone who decides they would like to participate, can go to Elite Nutrition downtown at a later date to get measured and weighed in.

Pecora and Neumann have set the weight loss goal for the town at 3,811 pounds.

“We’d love to help the people in our community, who are interested, have a little revolution here in Golden,” said Pecora.

“I’ve really struggled with my weight, and I don’t feel like I’m struggling any more,” said Neumann. “I don’t ever have to feel fat again. I’ve never felt that way, and it’s so empowering. And I want everyone in Golden to be able to feel that way.”
