EpilepsyQuesnel founder Natasha Wasmuth happily accepts a cheque from Quesnel Bakery owner Gerd Teetzen for $879 which was half the proceeds from the sale of purple cookies on Purple Day, March 26. In total, with several outlets around the community involved, 1758 cookies were sold. She is also very thankful to all the businesses, educational institutions and organizations which also sold cookies to help raise funds for VGH Epilepsy Clinic where the money will help fund an additional third and fourth bed in the Seizure Investigation Unit.
