Time to rediscover forgotten food skills

Bring back those memories and smells with the Forgotten Food Skills program this winter at the Sportsplex

Remember those wonderful smells coming from Grandma’s kitchen? Think of homemade bread, jams and jellies and amazing soups made from scratch, with real stock!

Bring back those memories and smells with the Forgotten Food Skills program this winter at the Sportsplex.

“Cooking and eating at home can be so much healthier than opening a can!” says recreation programmer Judy Ridgway. “Register for this program, and you’ll be taking steps toward a healthier you!”

The Forgotten Food Skills program will include:

  • Quarkblatter Teig (yummy pastry), Feb. 19.
  • No knead breads and Danishes, March 5.
  • Soups and stocks, April 9.
  • Homemade bagels, April 30.

Don’t miss out! Register at the Sportsplex or the Community Centre for just $30 per class. All classes run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
