A Maple Ridge yoga and Pilates instructor is hosting a special yoga retreat in Langley on Thanksgiving Monday (Oct. 10) that will truly separate the sheep from the goats.

Join Nicole Roy at 11 a.m. for a one-hour all levels yoga class outside in a field of friendly goats.

Taking place at 12 Willows Farm, 22210 102 Ave., the session is being held as a fundraiser for one of Roy’s students, Kendra Hart, whose brother, Taylor, has cancer and has to pay for immunotherapy out of his own pocket.

“I have a friend in Langley who has a little goat sanctuary and the two of us came up with the idea of a yoga class with goats as a unique fundraiser to help Taylor,” Roy said in an email to the Times.

The goats will “meander around us, offering cuddles, bleats and nibbles,” she said.

The class is by donation, with all money raised going towards Taylor’s treatment fund.

All are welcome to attend, and pre-registration is not required.
