Oak Bay Police are investigating the theft of computers from the University of Victoria after responding to a break and enter call Jan. 2.

They say as many as 15 computers were stolen from the MacLaurin building, home of UVic’s Faculty of Education and School of Music. The Forensic Identification Unit has been called in to assist in gathering evidence.

Paul Marck, Associate Manager of Public Affairs for UVic, said the university could not offer any comment as there is an ongoing police investigation.

Police say there was no forced entry, and ask anyone who saw suspicious activity on campus between Dec. 27 and Dec. 30 to call them at 250-592-2424.
