$500 worth of food stolen from Lantzville Legion

Two locks cut to break into shed; food taken from freezer

RCMP in Nanaimo want to catch whoever is responsible for the theft of food from the Royal Canadian Legion in Lantzville.

According to police, sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1-2, a shed behind the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 257 at 7225 Lantzville Rd. was broken into.

Someone cut two locks, the shed was rummaged through and an estimated $500 worth of food was taken from a freezer.
