Police are trying to identify the driver of a dark grey/silver 2000s Ford F250 that was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on Feb. 28 at about 7 p.m.
A 71-year-old man was walking across the intersection of Caribou Street and 14th Avenue in Mission at a designated cross walk when the suspect truck struck him.
The suspect driver of the truck did not stop after the collision and fled the scene. The pedestrian was air-lifted to the hospital by BC Ambulance Service where he remains in critical condition.
The Mission RCMP Serious Crime Unit and the Integrated Collision Analyst and Reconstructionist Service have been deployed for the investigation and are currently following up on all available leads.
It should be noted that damage to the suspect truck is expected to be on the front driver’s side or front grill of the vehicle.
