A GoFundMe has been set up for Allan Faulkner Jr.

More than $2,500 has been donated to the Allan Faulkner Jr. family through the GoFundMe page

UPDATE (July 22, 10 a.m.): A GoFundMe has been created to help support the family with funeral costs for Allan Faulkner Jr.

“For those of you who knew him, there are no words, you know,” said Carri Ash, a family friend who started the GoFundMe. “For those who didn’t know him well, there are not enough descriptives in the English language to explain what a happy and beautiful soul he was. His death is absolutely shocking to us all. His parents are obviously beside themselves and worrying about everything. We are asking the community, family and friends to please help out in any way you can.”

So far, more than $2,500 has been donated to the family through the GoFundMe page. Anyone who does not want to use a third-party fund can email transfer ybdwc@hotmail.com and that will go directly to Allan and Lorna as well.

“The family would like to thank everyone from the community who searched tirelessly for Jr. yesterday and throughout the night,” said Ash. “Many of you went without sleep and never gave up. We cannot thank you enough.”

UPDATE (3 p.m.): Allan Faulkner Jr., was discovered at approximately 12 p.m. on July, 20. near the base of the old ski hill in 100 Mile House. The 100 Mile RCMP is currently supporting the BC Coroner Service with their investigation. The public is advised to stay away from the area until after 6 p.m. this evening.

“The 100 Mile House RCMP Detachment offers their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. If you need help in dealing with this tragic circumstance, please reach out for support,” said Staff Sgt. Svend Neilsen.

There are a number of local services available, including the local RCMP Victim Services at 250-395-2456, Peter Skene Ogden Counselling Program for local students, the Armed Forces Outreach at 1-800-268-7708 for those connected to local military programs and other local counselling services.

UPDATE (12:30): Allan Faulkner Jr., 19, has been found deceased, according to the RCMP.

UPDATE (10 a.m.): There is now a Facebook group for the missing teen, Bring Allan Home.

ORIGINAL (9:33 a.m.): A local family is asking for help in locating a missing teenager who was last seen in 100 Mile House on Friday (July 20) approximately around 6 p.m.

Allan Faulkner Jr. was last seen heading towards Centennial Park around 5:30 p.m. wearing a grey and red (possibly orange) hoodie and jeans.

He was carrying a backpack. Faulkner is roughly 6 ft tall and is wearing prescription glasses.

According to a Facebook post, there is a reason to believe he is in serious distress and could be suicidal.

The 100 Mile House RCMP are involved in the search.
