Local students will now have the ability to blast off this spring break thanks to the Abbotsford International Airshow and Gearbots Educational Resources.
The pair have partnered up to offer a virtual Rocket Science S.T.E.M. Camp during the break for students aged nine and up.
Participants will explore the world of space flight, learn about the physics of aerodynamics and space orbit, then build and test their own spacecraft. The virtual camp will combine online instruction with interactive, digital activities utilizing the Kerbal Space Program space flight simulation game.
The online sessions will be three hours in length, held weekdays between March 15 to 19 and March 22 to 26, with a total of four camps to choose from. Camps are limited to just 12 students each to provide maximum engagement.
