The Lingerie Football League Canada will host its inaugural game in Abbotsford on Aug. 25.

Abbotsford will host the inaugural game of the new Lingerie Football League Canada. In February, B.C. was selected for a new team, called the Angels, which will play out of the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. The club joined the Toronto Triumph and the Regina Rage as the first three squads in the new league.

The BC Angels will open the season at home on Aug. 25 at 8 p.m., against the Rage.

According to a league press release, the opening night festivities will include the pre-game LFL Canada tailgate party starting at 5 p.m. with live music and DJs, video gaming lounge,  football challenges and more. The second and final home game for the BC Angels will be against Toronto on Sept. 29, also at 8 p.m. More home dates could be added, depending on potential playoff games. Tickets go on sale tomorrow starting at $12 and are available at abbotsfordcentre.ca, the AESC box office, or by calling 1-866-977-2372. The BC Angels are hosting open tryouts tonight (6-8 p.m.) at Sportstown BC, located at 4991 No. 5 Road in Richmond.

This will be the only opportunity for women to try out for the new squad.
